Research - demonstrate your knowledge of different types of structure of a film opening.

A narrative opening is when the titles run throughout the opening and they are either super imposed or intercut.

A discrete title sequence is shots/images/scenes that stand apart from titles that may contain elements from the film which act as indicators to plot, not part of the narrative.

Titles over a black screen are stand alone titles that lead into the opening of the film; usually on a black screen.
